Transcriptions for organ from orchestral works.
The organ is a wonderful instrument, which allows to create sounds and atmpsheres in a unique way. In the centuries, it has been so much improved and enriched of timbres that today we have symphonic organs with electronic engines, allowing the organist to play like a real orchestra. That’s why it always fascinated me the transcriptions of orchestral music to the organ.
My main transcription is Pictures at an exhibition by M. Mussorgsky, that I also played around Europe. Now I’m working on a 4-hands organ version of The Planets by G. Holst.
